Yerba Mansa Tincture
This tough plant thrives in salty, alkaline soils in which few other plants can survive. It is aromatic, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, mildly diuretic, and astringent. Yerba mansa is often recommended for sinus issues, including allergies, lingering colds, and chronic congestion and sinus inflammation. It's astringency and anti-septic properties can make it a good remedy for diarrhea, and for inflammation and infection of the urinary system. Because it is anti-inflammatory and also helps the body flush uric acid, it is sometimes included in blends for arthritis and gout. Topically, it is used as a wash to soothe cuts, scrapes, and inflammatory skin conditions, and to combat fungal infections.
