Stevia rebaudiana
Stevia is primarily used as a sweetener or sugar substitute. It imparts a sweet flavor, but is low in carbohydrates and has negligible effects on blood glucose levels. It grows native in both North and South America, in tropical to sub-tropical climates. It is also known as “Sweetleaf” and “Sugarleaf”.
THS recommends that you consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using herbal products, particularly if you take other medications, or if you are nursing, pregnant, or expecting to become pregnant.
