Brassica alba

Mustard stimulates appetite and treats flatulence, bad breath, and colds. It can be used externally as a poultice or plaster for fevers, rheumatic and arthritic pains, and congested lungs. Traditionally, mustard plasters are applied as a thick paste over the chest. To avoid damaging the skin, these plasters must be applied under supervision and for a carefully limited time period.
