Hypericum perforatum- St. Johns Tincture
A sweet, warming herb rich in calming and healing volatile oils. St. John’s wort helps the liver process complex toxins. It works to regulate stomach acid levels, restoring balance in cases of hyperacidity and hypoacidity. St. John’s Wort has a strong influence on the nervous system, including the enteric (gut-centered) nervous system. It is useful for anxiety, tension, depression, and nervous digestive ailments. It has a long history of use as a first aid remedy, especially for injuries to nerves. For this purpose, it is often made into an infused oil and applied topically. St. John’s wort is also an excellent anti-viral, and is particularly effective, alone or with lemon balm, against all forms of herpes virus.
