Horseradish is a warming herb that induces perspiration, clears airways and sinuses, and acts as a diuretic. It can a great herb to reach for when you need to kick a virus. Its antibacterial properties are useful in treating urinary, respiratory, and sinus infections. Externally, it has beenused for infections, pleurisy, and arthritis. Horseradish also makes a great addition to soups and sauces, and is traditionally paired with pork.
