Galega officinalis 

Goat’s Rue is a key herb in blends for nursing parents working hoping to increase lactation. It also contains galegine, an alkaloid that strongly reduces blood sugar levels, and may be useful in diabetes or pre-diabetes. Its diaphoretic action allows it to reduce fevers by promoting sweating. Lastly, it is sometimes used as a rennet substitute in cheese making due to its curdling action! 

 *Diabetics are advised to work closely with their doctor while taking goat’s rue, monitoring blood sugar levels carefully and adjusting insulin dosage if needed. It is not recommended for people who struggle with low blood sugar. This may not be a complete list of all contraindications.*
