Eupatorium perfoliatum- Boneset Tincture
Boneset is particularly useful for the fever, chills, and deep aching that usually accompany the flu. For this use it is best taken as a hot tea or as a tincture accompanied by hot water. It is also a bitter tonic with a strong affinity for the digestive and lung mucosa. Taken cold, it is relaxing to the stomach and liver, promoting secretion of bile and lending a mild laxative effect. The name is attributed to its traditional Native American use for setting and healing of broken bones.
*Boneset may be unsafe for use during pregnancy. This should not be considered a comprehensive list of all possible contraindications.*
