Equisetum arvense- Horsetail Tincture
Horsetail is best known for its high silica content and diuretic affect. It has an affinity for the urinary tract system, and can be useful for UTIs, cystitis, and prostatitis. It promotes overall renal function, cleanses and repairing kidney tissues and helping to purge uric acid, lactates and residual toxins. Through its renal support and its diuretic action, it may help reduce edema. Because it is so high in minerals critical to tissue health and repair, it is often used as a tonic for bones and tissues. It helps the body repair damaged tissues, heal or strengthen bones, and improve connective tissue strength and elasticity. It is also used as a source of easily-absorbed vitamins and minerals in any condition where nutritional supplementation is desired, including baldness, malnutrition, and menstrual irregularities.
*Not recommended for long-term use. Dose carefully. Horsetail is not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing. As always, investigate other contraindications*
THS recommends that you consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using herbal products, particularly if you take other medications, or if you are nursing, pregnant, or expecting to become pregnant.
