Corn silk is a traditional treatment for most urinary tract complaints, including bladder infection, cystitis, urethritis, and prostatitis. It may help reduce edema. As well as being a diuretic, it is mildly demulcent, helping to heal and soothe the mucosa of the urinary tract.
