Cordyceps Mushroom Powder
Cordyceps is not technically a mushroom, but a parasitic fungus. In its natural Himalayan habitats, Cordyceps infects insects and gradually overtakes their bodies. This form of Cordyceps is rare, expensive, and definitely not vegan-friendly. The Cordyceps we stock is grown in the US, and is cultivated on oats using dried mycelium. Cordyceps has been used medicinally for centuries. In Himalayan folk medicine, it has been used for a wide range of diseases, particularly those related to reduced vitality and metabolic dysfunction. The Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine highlights historical use in treating diabetes, jaundice, respiratory ailments, erectile dysfunction, cancer, and diseases associated with old age. In recent clinical research, Cordyceps has shown promise as a performance-enhancing supplement for athletes.
