Cinnamomum verum- Ceylon Cinnamon Tincture
Ceylon cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka and is grown in Madagascar, India, Brazil and the Caribbean. It is less widely grown, and therfore more expensive than the common Cassia cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon contains less coumarin than the other varieties, which makes it less taxing for the liver. Herbalists often recommend Ceylon cinnamon to help balance blood sugar.
