Hemidesmus indicus 

Often used in Ayurvedic medicine as an alterative, demulcent, diaphoretic, diuretic and blood purifier. Is a cooling herb that helps to alleviate painful irritation and urination during a UTI or with cystitis. Often used in formulations for a number of skin complaints, as it is a wonderful blood purifier, for acne, eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, etc. Ayurvedic tradition holds that the roots will transport the user to deeper states of sleep and through the four gates of dreaming and is used to help the experienced conscious dreamer achieve lucidity during the dream or REM phase of sleep. Ayurvedic healers also prescribed it to men suffering from low libido and sexual impotence.
