December 2016: Stress Over the past few months we have experienced tensions, fears and even chaos rise. Masses of people have been divided for many reasons. We see it in the news broadcast, across social media and in our very own streets. People are confused, afraid and vulnerable. As it goes that history always repeats, so is it true that change is inevitable. While we stand in this moment of change. May you take a moment and stand in the eye of the hurricane. Ground yourself in this stillness. Ask yourself what will make a difference? What will be a decision based on your heart? What will provide healing for this earth and for the ones that surround us? How can change be a positive? I do not have the answers for all of these questions, but what I do know is that we must fight back with heart. Do what is right, be the change that we are fighting to be! In times of stress I find that it is important to use extra precautions in our bodies. Be aware of all that is around you. Stress can affect every cell in our bodies. It will wreak havoc on our minds and souls. Here are a few ways I like to nourishing my nerves when they seem out of line: -Drink tea! THS Comfort Me was formulated to comfort you in times of hardship and struggle. Drink a quart a day! -Flower Essence. Create a custom blend to help balance the energetic side. I use a blend of clematis, chestnut bud, angelica, yarrow, love-lies-bleeding for bringing awareness to area’s that need a different point of view. Awakening clarity to see how to make change in a positive direction. -Do something that brings you Joy! It is important to find ways that bring joy to us. It’s easy to get sucked into the chaos of the day to day. Check out Amanda Frankel’s class on Herbal Arts and Crafts for Kids or Claire’s class on Herbal Holiday gifts to Relieve Stress for a few ways to bring Joy! -Take a bath. Nothing feels better than relaxing in a hot steamy bath to soak away stress. Add some Epsom salt, sea salt, lavender flowers, rose petals, sunflower petals, kava kava, lemon balm to a muslin bag and dip it into warm bath. Soak away! Happy Holidays! Remember to love yourself! Love this planet! Love all people! To set up an herbal consultation with me email: info@theherbshoppepharmacy.com
